Looks like I posted on the wrong thread,pictures of my M1922 M1,bolt matches receiver.

As best I can tell from the photos you have a 1922M1 Issue Type. It appears to have the original stock and metal finish. If it is an early one it may have the buttplate with a trapdoor and coarse checkering. These are very hard to find in this condition. I looked for twenty+ years in good original condition of parts and finish for my collection. The barrel date suggests it is original to the rifle.

Thanks for the reply,It does not have a trapdoor ,it does have coarse butt plate.unknown to me we I traded for this I thought it was the M2, I had never seen one before but had read about them,it’s a good little cotton tail rifle.Have a good day.

Yes, an original MI configuration. Very nice indeed. I just love these rifles as collector pieces but also shooters. They are a fine example of fit, finish and workmanship of a bygone era. Congratulations!
