You dog guys are the best. I have cats and constantly watch for odd behaver. They are house cats, but still can get infected by another cat.
Anyone that likes animals and treats them like kids, is OK in my book. Big Larry

I'm glad your dog is okay!
My 'puppy',Fiona is 137 pounds. She's a Great Dane Bull Mastiff mix,or as I call her a Jane Russel Great Dane as she's a full figure girl.
She's goes everywhere with me including to 3 of my doctor's offices and everyone knows her.If I go in without her the folks at the receptionist/check in desks don't ask me how I am,they ask where's Fiona.
She has the people at my bank's branches,Ace Hardware,CalRanch, etc trained to give her cookies and they all know here name.
Jennifer, the daughter of the owner of Mazy's Gun Shop in Chino Valley has told me I'm only welcome if Fiona brings me in,she has her own personal water bowl and box of Milk Bones there.
The kids in my neighborhood come by and ask if Fiona can come out so they can pet her, she's a lover,as long as you don't hurt me.

Dear LarDaBear,
Your stock has risen much higher in my estimation now that I know you're a pet lover. I don't trust anyone who doesn't love dogs & cats and I do my best to take care of mine and also to help out the many local rescues and "pounds." With us spending much more time at home due to Covid, we have much fun interacting with our dogs & cats to the benefit of all.
Cheers to you and your pack,
AQBill

My dog is a sighhound, ancient breek called a saluki. she's made for running. It was only 45 deg that day, she had no reason to be overheated. We run them in the summer in AZ, and they're desert dogs. My mule in the background:

My son has a Bull Mastiff and he is a lover also. He just can't seem to get close enough to you- my son has said he would get inside you if he could just to be as close to his people as possible. He's about 135 lbs and thinks he is a lap dog still but he is my favorite dog ever as my wife is not a dog person... have to watch those smash faced dogs, though- they don't do well in heat and can't run much or they overheat quickly and can die if exposed to too much heat, just like a Bull dog, which they are bred from- 40% Bull dog and 60% Mastiff, IIRC....
He just had a spinal stroke about a month and a half ago and completely lost the use of his rear legs for a while. With exercise and encouragement, he is almost completely back to normal now, but even at his worst his tail was still wagging a hundred miles an hour. It was tough seeing him incapacitated for a while as all he wants to do is please people- unless you are aggressive with his family in any way...

Great stories from above. Any of you folks that would show up here, I would gladly buy you a steak dinner and take you out for a few rounds through my Thompson. Big Larry
