Look what I found today at a local gun store.

I stocked up on it when they were going to “discontinue” it, last I checked I have about 5 cases of Eley stored in ammo boxes. I shot it a lot when I was out west on jack rabbits and I have t fired a round in several years.

Know what you mean they developed the round and their ammo shoots the worst how can that be .I'm good on Ely ,in fact should think of selling some ~~JMJ~~

Had 10 cases of Eley back when I got my 1702, traded a brick of it for a few boxes of Hornady 17REM Couple hundred pieces of brass, several hundred projectiles (Berger, Honady, and another ballistic tip that I forget) and a set of dies. This is my best trading ammo. Never had a single split or rupture. Maybe because Eley and Anschutz worked together on chamber and ammo when they were getting on board.

Definitely like the HM2 better than HMR even in same platform 1702 and 1717.

These are both laser flat with the M2 being better at keeping the damage down.

Bench testing the three different lots I ended up with 2337fps avg with and ES of 63fps but still under half minute.
