Just got another new SR22 and out of my 1st 75 rounds, ive had 4 light hammer strikes, non fires. I recocked it and then they would fire. This was with Winchester and aguila 40 grain bullets

Sorry, I cannot speak from experience - this looks like a nice upgrade to me:

That is a nice upgrade. I put one on my wife's SR22 and it works fine. The captured recoil spring is nice and after about 100 rnds of CCI Mini-Mags, her pistol handles SV ammunition well.

I don't have an SR22, but light hammer strikes in a semi-auto are frequently caused by a loose grip. Semi-autos need a firm grip to properly cycle. I have a Walther, similar to the SR22, and it needs HV ammo to cycle properly. You didn't say whether the ammo you were having problems with was SV or HV>

My SR-22 chews up anything I feed it. I haven't tried any SS ammo in it because it probably won't cycle, and I wouldn't expect it to.

Where it's a new gun maybe it will smooth out after a few hundred rounds but I still wouldn't expect 100% reliability from Winchester ammunition, or even Aguila.

I've had two SR22's and both ran fine with subsonic ammo after break in, great little suppressor hosts as well.
