My first 10/22 project. Thought I'd try to do something that looked factory. It's been fun. Now to see how it shoots!

Well, just got back from the range and there seems to be a problem. The gun will only eject Remington Thunderbolt ammo. The other 6 brands I tried won't eject. When the action closes it doesn't close as far as it did with the factory barrel. Seems the chamber of the barrel may be too long? Anyone know whats going on?

Well after installing a volquartsen extractor my problems are solved! Fired 6 different kinds of ammo today. Not a single jam or misfeed!
Shot .5" 10-shot groups at 50-yards with Federals from WalMart. Time to get her cleaned up and try some more ammo! Watch out squirrels here I come

like the way it looks, great stock. maybe time to get your name on a coupla
games here, LOL,

Yeah, I'm excited about it. I've got a lot of different kinds of ammo to try so I hope to find one that gets even tighter.

your stock has really good grain! bulk ammo doesnt like to be reliable, so you will get fte with remington thunderbolts and the like
