Trigger for my 15-22

Log in to see fewer ads
I know this must of come up, since the trigger isn't the best.

Does anybody have link to for trigger for the 15-22, and does it need to different pins for installations.

I was reading, that some triggers require a different pin, also reading about triggers that are drop fits.

I would like to replace the trigger, but don't want it to bankrupt me, paying more then the rifle is worth, if you know what I mean.

Thank for any help!

+1 on the CMC. Not all drop ins will function properly in the 15-22 but the CMC does. The trigger comes with anti-walk pins with screws on both ends. Although the pins are a little short for the 15-22, a drop of blue LocTite on the small screws holds everything nicely. Since the trigger and hammer rotate on hollow tubes rather than the pins, the pins don't rotate and unscrew the small screws. I have several thousand rounds on my 15-22 with CMC trigger with no problems.

Or you can purchase the following that are 15-22 specific pins for this application;

https://www.cmctriggers.com/cmc-trig...for-m-p-15-22/

https://www.knsprecisioninc.com/prod...d-kit-rimfire/

I have used both types, work as advertised.

It cost 2/3 as much as the rifle, but I have about 22k rounds on a Geissele SD-E trigger in my 15-22. The hammer broke in half at some point, and Geissele sent me a while new trigger group for free. The pins look too short but have never been a problem.

Use these: https://geissele.com/large-pin-colt-...mmer-pins.html They're the right length for our thicker walled lower.
I have them in my 15-22's along with Geisseles' SD-3G trigger for RCSA Rimfire Challenge etc..

Spend the extra money for the better ALG, not the QMS version

Second vote for the Geissele. Yes, it is pricey, but it is worth it. I have one in my AR and wanted them to feel the safe. Great trigger if you can bring yourself to spend the funds.

+2 on the CMC option in both my 15-22's. kp321 covered the details very well

I installed the Hiper-Fire Eclipse trigger in mine and wished I had done it sooner. Not only me but anyone who's familiar with the AR-15/M-16 rifles have noticed how much better the trigger is.

I liked the trigger so much that it is in my other AR-15 rifles. It dropped the pull weights from 5-7 pounds down to 3 to 3.2 pounds. Not only that, the resets are very short.

https://www.hiperfire.com/product/hipertouchecl/

Long before I put the Hiper-Fire trigger in the M&P 15-22, I installed the KNS anti-walk pins. Even though Hiper-Fire tells you to use only their pins, the KNS pins will still work.

I recently put one of the Fostech ECHO triggers in a Rock River AR just for fun, and BOY is it FUN!

It is also expensive to really enjoy!

So I just ordered one of the M&P 15-22s, and considering that the Fostech trigger won't work in them as I understand it, I will be ordering one of the Franklin Armory BFS 3 triggers for it.

Wanted to compare the two triggers anyway, so this should be a bit more of an affordable blast!

Anyway, the RISE Armament drop in triggers for ARs have a couple of options that can be had for under $100 bucks that should be drop-ins with the 15-22also.
Almost no take-up or over travel, quick reset, and about 3.5# pull.
I've been very happy with the couple that I've purchased and wouldn't be afraid to try it in the M&P.

The $340 version? That's too rich for my blood. I just took my AR cmc trigger and put it in the 15 22 but havent tried it yet.
