Holy George Washington's ghost! I actually found 2 Mags instock at my local sporting goods store! Not to mention I could actually get 1000 rounds 22lr and 150 rounds 9mm..

Can we see a light at the end of this tunnel?

Happy Shooting, Stand N Fight

Some stores seem to be charging too much still. Wal mart win555, 23.00& some change. LGS 9mm several 9mm brands from 18.99 to 26.99 for remington.. 35.99 for 15-22 mags. Think I'll wait awhile before I start buying again.

All we are seeing locally are the Plinker Tacticals, $35. I have a few and they work Ok, function as they should but they are too long and a real pain to load. I think I will stick to SW factory mags from now on....

I like the Promag 32s. They load the same as the S&W and cost 1/2 of what the PT 35s do. I have used them in my rifles in speed steel competition since late 2012 and had no problems. Right now I have 4 short 10s, 7 25s, 2 Promag 32s and a BDM 50 rd drum.

Anyone near me, Who actually "NEEDS" a 15-22 mag, please PM me. I'll sell you a new one for $20. Just trying to promote Honest American ways.

Awesome, they are slowly returning. Although I was just hit with a surprise! My g/f just purchased her own 15-22, the talo edition!

You made a very nice offer a few lines up.

I noticed Midway seems to have the long 10 rounders on an extended basis.

There's an old thread on the S&W forum showing how to convert the long 10 rounders into 5 or 10 round mags. Haven't done it but it's an interesting idea and pretty well explained on their forum

Yes, the long 10 rounders just have a stopping pin in them. Lots of vids on youtube. I ordered 2 10 round shorts from S&W, nothing yet..

I thought the shorts would be great for sighting in, and for kids to practice with (not getting trigger happy)

I have been seeing the M& P rifle mags start to show up again in stores. What I need are some of the M &P 22 pistol mags. The gougers on ebay are looking for $60 -$85 each. I even saw someone selling 22A mags for $40 each because they are "so rare, and will be banned!". blood sucking *&%*%^%. In stock at S&W for $28 or Midway for $23.

My artistic soul likes when the mags are about the size of the grip. Like those 20-round PMAGs on fullsize ARs, for example.
For 15-22, though, you could easily get factory 25 round mag, which is too long, 10 round mag, which is too short, and aftermarket 32 round mag, which is ugly as AK.
Is there any workaround to get something like 15 or 20 round 15-22 magazine about the height of the Magpul pistol grip? Some simple mod of the Umarex 20-round mags maybe? (And by "simple", I mean "not requiring me to cut the mag in thirds and do weird stuff with a mill)...
Like this:

I don't really care about the capacity -- I'll use the 10-round mags mostly anyway, once they arrive. It's just for the "look&feel" factor...

I missed out on some factory S&W mags this morning.
Great price at Midway, by the time I got my info added, they were out of stock. Drat.

For the Plinker Tactical mags.... I have one and had no problems with it at all. The loading tool that fits in the back "notch" is well worth the $7 or so bucks. Earlier mags seemed to have issues.

I have two Pro-mags that have been on backorder for more than 8 weeks now.... hoping they will show up eventually.

I've had two 25 round mags on back order from Midway for a couple of months. Arrived today! I am a happy camper. Now if the 30 rounders for my PMR 30 would show up.

I've ordered and received nearly a dozen of the 10 round longs from Midway over the last month.

Takes about 30-45 seconds to knock out the limiting pin, add a load assist button from Ebay and bam! 25 round factory mags for around $23.00.
