I dont like the new rear sight

The rear part "sight rear face"can pivot freely up and down causing the rear notch to have .005" min. of up and down movement. How is yours? This is Ruger new rear sight , not the older one with the removable flat sight blade.

Which model do you have? Is the rear sight not spring loaded? I took mine off almost as soon as I bought them, so I don't remember...

10" and 5.5" threaded mark IV both stainless target. I will probably find a couple of the Mark II , III type Ruger rear sights to replace these.

you might have a defective sight. Contact Ruger, they will make it right.

Still not really fair to moan too much without giving Ruger a chance to make it right. Call them and ask.

I just got off of the phone with them . They see the problem. He had to hand pick some replacements for me. They want to see the ones I have . They are sending a return label. Thanks for the advice. Some are fine and some not so much.

Great news!

I hope it all gets fixed. Feel VERY free to moan and witch-with-a-B if it doesn't.
