Very interesting Dancy. I am in Arvada Colorado. My company sells mining supplies and we have sold a lot of BATA boots and rainwear to miners over the last 50 years. I bet a lot of the boots came from the Borovo factory in Vukovar before the war. Small world!

Well again welcome to Rimfire Central, I hope you continue to post about your rifle and shooting sports in Croatia. We enjoy having members from every corner of the world. It's good to learn about faraway places

Živjeli!

Did not see anything like this in a 5 years or so since I have my URAL. This is a grab and hide kind of deal. Bolt a little rusty, but numbers are same and that is hard to find these days. Even my URAL was drilled for a scope mounts. This one seems to be not modified!

I have two first gen Ural, like this. Both with lower serial numbers. In Russia the shooters talk about the double digit Ural being the most sought after. The Russians told me that double digit Ural have hand cut barrels. To be honest the Ural rifles are probably the most common rifles in my possession. I would have bought that rifle had I known it was up on GB.

The first gen Ural are the best because there action screws are very thick like 9mm I can’t remember but my Ural-2 only has 6mm bolts or something. I enjoy how over build these can be. Does anyone else find it funny that Voodoo rifles are acting like they are making new designs with that three lug bolt , when the Izhmash plant has been doing it for over 70 years. These rifles are under appreciated! tom c. was just talking to me about how he noticed that his Ural had perfect lug contact with the receiver. He was stating that he noticed that the whole back of the lug on his Ural was shiny and had perfect contact. He also stated how one of his other American made rifles had a shiny spot only at the bottom of the lug which indicates that the bolt lugs are only locking on the edge of the lugs. These rifles are phenomenally well build and anyone who says otherwise just doesn’t know that they are putting there foot in there mouth.

CM-2's

The older versions of the CM-2 rifle had three bolts also. The newer ones only have two. It doesn't have that much of an effect because the action is flat and serrated to start with. For the simplicity of their design, they shoot rather well; at least the Soviet-made ones did.

Funny thought, I just noticed that Don Francis sold that Ural! He sold me one of my two first gen Ural! So apparently he had two Ural at one point too.

[QUOTE=Dancy;12369521]Rws target and SK standard plus, distance 50 m

Wow you can still get RWS club, OMG

That is my favorite ammo of all time, sadly because of Brexit I doubt it will be available here in the UK

Yes I like the Vostok rifles, they can be had for around Ł100 here and are highly underrated, especially good as a bench gun. In some ways a more economical approach and far less hassle than trying to fettle a CZ or 10/22

Gratz, nice stock too!
