Volquartsen extended magazine release ?

Anyone have experience with the Volquartsen extended magazine release button on their Mark 3. It looks like what I want but read that it works best with a Volquartsen magazine and that the standard Ruger magazine may not seat flush with the frame when using the extended button. I have plenty of factory mags and want to keep using them. Any info and/or pictures appreciated. Thanks.

I have been using one in my MK III for several years & have never had any issues using OEM mags.

Volquartsen mags.......

On the Volquartsen website it states the mags are mfg by Ruger and has the Volquartsen button installed. Nothing special about them. My MKIII has a Volquartsen extended release and it has always worked fine.

Good luck!

Thanks for the quick replies. Good to hear there are no issues. I guess I misunderstood about their magazines, makes sense now. I will place an order. Thanks.

I just installed one of these on my MKIII Hunter a few weeks ago. Works great, no issues. Mags seat securely and drop free. With thicker aftermarket grips the longer length makes it much easier on a mag release. If you haven't put in an order yet check out Volquartsen's ebay clearance listings. They have the MKIII Extended Mag Release for only $10, free shipping.
