Henry sent me a shipping label and I will get it to UPS Monday. I certainly hope this is not "normal".

one day when i get one of these ill be able to agree/disagree with the comments , but i have always thought of henry as a lever producer and never really looked at their pumps , im to the point in life when thats the one missing from that rack , might have to actually try to find one ,

Just curious why it would be going to Ruger. Isnít Henry still independently owned, or, did I miss something in the thread?

Your welcome. Figured it was a brain fart. Always feel like a dummy when I do that.

At least you didnít actually send it to Ruger. I bet they would have been surprised.😆

I am not holding my breath that a trip back to the factory will make me happy. Pump/slide/etc., have been around for over 100 years. Copying the Winchester mechanism would have been so simple........ If this trip doesn't do it I'll give it to a relative I don't care for!!!

I solved my 22 short problem by modifying a Ruger BX1 mag to use in my RAR. Glad I checked here before buying the Henry pump.

Is the Henry pump really that bad to cycle?
I've played with them at the LGS, only reason I haven't bought one is I think they dropped the ball by not styling it after the old Winchesters, Remingtons, etc.

If it had darker wood, which I know I could stain, and it had a less chunky profile, I'd pick one up in a hearbeat.

For a slide action .22 rifle my first choice would be either a Winchester model 61 or 62. Then after that it would be my Rossi 62SA, a poor man's Winchester model 62. Unfortunately none of these are still in current production.
