I should've made friends with younger guys that lived a less rambunctious life style.

1st day of walleye season and the lake is not frozen over! Dock and boat are in the water and a few dozen XL leeches in the garage's dorm fridge are raring to get a hook poked thru em.

2-4mph sunny S breezes @ 56˚F (dock wind sock)

Al, your born, then die, in between there are in most folks lives less than 10 things that happen that are really important. everything in between is just noise. disregarding that noise only makes one a better golfer, target shooter and fisherman. seems those 3 mentioned above might be important.....lol....marty

You forgot cooking/eating Marty. I cooked the wife a, self caught walleye and neighbor donated brook trout, dinner tonight fried in real butter. She ate mostly the crumbed crusted walleye while I suffered the 1/2 dozen brookies.

brookies are good to. there was an article in field and stream some 30 years ago that stated. " time spent afield does not count towards your allotted time on earth" hope it's true as I spend most of my time out doing something. hope everyone has a safe Memorial weekend, thanks to those that sacrificed the ultimate, that's why we get to do the things we do. marty

Al, this evening, had 1 of the copper salmon fillets, 1 left. aspergillus with braised mushrooms. shot a little bit with the 40x and 52b, later golfed 12 holes before a thunderstorm moved in. pretty hard to hit a moving target. life is good. maybe tomorrow is a rr day. life is good. if your bored here it's your own fault...marty

73 with only one birdie and a bogey on a par 5 is a good round anywhere anytime.

No handicap? I don't know how to even read your card.

My town of 21K has 2 courses, with one outside in the township. I hear they are well liked but you know how golfers are.

Al, when I was a little kid mom would be out in the kitcken wiith a wash basin, dads legs were open sometimes I think I could see the bones. mom would wrap his leg then off to work the next day, knew early on he was air lifted to port moresby, later with 30 or so from the 126 and 127th they hoped a freighter, went awol to join their outfits. junior officers wanted to court martial all of them. the colonel said "there's not time, we'll deal with later. dad was wounded again after baguio fell. went on to japan occupation. so I asked dad what they ever did to you for hopping the freighter? he said." couldn't have been to upset as I got promoted" this weekend is fathers day and the things that he told us boys are. "treat every women as if she's your mother, and, never give in or give up" never ever forgot that. marty

Al, you know this; never, ever give in, never give up. and I'm sure you know this. treat every lady with respect and dignity, just as you would treat your mom. not bad advice. marty
