Hi everyone, was just looking at the new Browning ammo and was wondering what everyone's thoughts were on it? I am thinking it is still manufactured by Winchester but not sure.

I picked up a box but haven't shot it yet. It has all the characteristics of Winchester made ammo in regards to packaging and the grey tip for the 25gr load. It was a couple dollars less than WW so I thought why not.

Winchester is the only maker of 17WSM ammunition @ this time.

Al is right.
Browning does not manufacture any rimfire ammunition.
All of it is relabeled Winchester production, 22lr, 17hmr, 17wsm.
Easy to confirm, find the date code on the box, you'll find it's Winchester.

Cabela's has a pretty hefty markup.

It can be found substantially cheaper

In my last correspondence with Winchester, confirming they're the only ones making 17WSM ammo, they said anyone else is free to make it...which I found rather odd, but literally, what do I know?

Cabelas price is in CAD not USD that is why the markup appears to be so high. I will check the date code just for curiosity sake, thanks for the information.

I picked up a few boxes of it also, just to try and check to see how it shoots... but it will be a few months before I can test it to see.... home in louisiana and my body is in Illinois

FYI guys. Browning is having a 25% rebate, up to $100, on Browning rimfire ammunition through November 30th. Check it out.
