New IE?

I get a few "Your Browser is not up to date" notifications. I 've been using Windows 10 and learned that it's browser is no longer supported. A recommendation is to use MS Edge - too confusing for me. What are the recommendations, Google Chrome, Fox Fire....
Thank you!

Chrome seems to work much better than IE for me. Chrome allows me to go anywhere I want to go, see what I want to see, and doesn't hang up like IE. Just my experiences after 30 years on computers. IE used to be the best but has been surpassed in recent years and I no longer use it on my personal computers.

...now I'm remembering using Netscape Navigator over a 9600 baud dial up Compuserve connection. A lot fewer scammers and spammers back then, but a lot less internet too!

Stick the AdBlock+ extension onto Chrome and it's golden.

Of course, your every move will be tracked by google but... meh.... they already got that anyway.

Easy

I'm at the age where software maybe powerful but I still want simplicity. Back in the day, 1991, a group of us tried to get IBM OS/2 to run. What a disaster!!

I have Windows 7 with IE 11. Using MSN Premium through a Verizon DSL connection. My email is *****@msn.com. If I go to Chrome or Firefox, can I keep using MSN, and/or can I keep my email address? Hundreds of places have it, I may not live long enough to update every one to a new addy.....

Firefox. Had Chrome, but after trying to remove it........ well, you know what happened next. Heck, I needed to do a complete restore, just to get the spying out of my back yard. Mongo like Firefox.

Had Chrome, but could not find any extensions like Speed-Dial, so went back to Firefox. I liked Chrome, but I like the extensions Firefox offers.

Update: One of the Grandkids, or me....... accidentally downloaded Chrome (again) and it was installed. I guess someone didn't uncheck the box when downloading the program that was intended, and it "piggy backed" into my computer. I am happy to report that Chrome has changed their evil ways, and I was able to completely remove it without having to do a total restore. No, I didn't even try it, because it left such a bad impression with the first adventure. I was happy to see it removed so easily. Well, I think it was. Searching for "Chrome" didn't bring up any results. It is possible the program file has another catch phrase. Will I try it again? No. I guess I'm old school, I want control of my guns, my cars, and my computer information. ..... AH

This sure brings back memories! How about the Commodore 64 & VIC20. How many remember using those?

My review after one month of using Microsoft Edge?
It's a good browser, but it's an incomplete browser.
It's fast, but lacks features (anyone who says it has all the features on par with other older browsers like FF/Chrome is an idiot) and is insecure at the moment (It warns me when I access to APKNite - the website that I've accessed for years and years (idiot). They STILL haven't fixed the bug about leaking credentials.
So I think you and me, we're gonna use Google Chrome instead.
