I put the target hammer kit in a 10-22. Is there an advantage to the new hammer spring?

Mine was reliable with the stock hammer spring with standard velocity ammo. Does the new spring affect this?

I have not been able to shoot since the installation.

Thanks for any response.

Thanks

I was able to shoot mine today. It was the same. Target ammo worked perfectly.

The trigger return spring is a little light. Had about 20 failures to reset shooting 250 rounds. I might try a little polishing or swap the stock spring back in the rifle.:)

One of my 10/22's is completely stock except for a Volquartsen target hammer I bought over 10 yrs. ago at reduced price w/cosmetic defect. Used the OEM Ruger stock spring and it has been flawless in function.
It greatly improved the trigger pull in this $200 stock rifle.

Ol' Timer here...
Back when the VQ Hammer swaps were as good as you could do there were many that said the OEM Spring was definitely the way to go.. I did many and NEVER used the VQ Spring/s ... Swap back to the OEM and your re-set issue may.. may go away..
