I have a couple of receivers marked 50th anniversary edition, that makes them 2014 and they are ever bit as good as the couple I got back in 1990. That's only 24 years difference and obviously does not go back to the beginning models.
I have a current model receiver that I bought recently and my stock is barely touching the barrel on the left side at the end. Changed stock and it is the same. Apparently canted slightly to the left. I won't buy another.
Well I have a deluxe sporter stock, thought I would buy a carbine new and put it in the DSP stock...sell the carbine stock, I also have a 22" factory take off barrel, maybe then send it to CPC and have it set back, also have a KIDD trigger kit, should make a decent rifle. I havent bought a new 10/22 in a long time....just didnt know how good/bad the receivers are. Thanks everyone for the replies
Go to S&P. 5%discount for code rfc. $75 for a receiver. If you need the other parts , bolt trigger , pins, v block td screw etc . There are sales onthe Tupperware carbines for about 180.
