I'm considering purchasing a Williams Fire Sight set for my 10/22. Anyone have any reviews/thoughts? Where does the rear sight mount?

Thumbs up I Suggest You Give Them A Call ... Its Tollfree

I cannot comment specifically on the Williams Fire Sights for the 10/22 However, I do have a similar Ruger translucent tube front sight on my 22/45 and i'm more than pleased with the transformation from the stock front sight. The new tube sight is very bright even in relatively low ambient lighting conditions. Its very quick to pickup even for my old eyes. and provides great contrast with any target/background with which I have tried it.

As for your question about mounting the new sight I suggest you try going to the source:

The Williams website says:

"Please call 1-800-530-9028 to order Open Sights
Sizing, hole spacing and other factors greatly affect which sight you need. Our salespeople can help choose the right sight for your firearm."

One of my CRR carbines came with williams firesights. They're great for shorter range shooting, out to about 75 yards. The rear sight mounts in the same dovetail as the leaf sight on standard mounts.

I have the Williams Fire Peep set on a recent build too - love 'em. The receiver mounted peep provides a longer sight radius.

I have the Williams receiver/peep sight rear and fire sight on the front. They are a great alternative to a scope if you are wanting iron sights and far better than the factory set up. Less than $40.00 new.
