I have a 7" pistol and a 16" carbine. I realize that I need an 11" SBR! Anyone else want Tippmann to make one?

They make an "Elite Pistol" with 11" barrel and arm brace.

I really would like an SBR, so I can have a real stock and a vertical foregrip.

Super easy. Buy the pistol. File a Form 1. Upon approval change the buffer tube and stock. No need to wait for Tippmann to do it.

Is a 12.5 inch barrel too long for you, Tippmann already make them for export to the UK...and I've got one.

Not sure the legality of getting one in the US though.

Purchase the pistol and efile a form 1 to turn it into an SBR yourself. Same $200 tax stamp, but much faster turnaround.

The way the NFA is talking about taking a look at braces I would just buy the pistol version and wait and see what NFA does. Part of their proposal to a change in the rules was to allow a Tax stamp exemption to classify the guns under NFA as SBR's. Buy the pistol and get the free stamp later?
