Question 77/22 reworked barrel?

Log in to see fewer ads
You guys are a bad influence on me. After reading recent posts, I would like to get my 77/22 barrel reworked, but I don't know what's involved or who does this type of re-work in Canada.

I have a 77/22 all weather with the Volq. target sear that I've floated & bedded with JB weld, but I haven't seen any improvement in accuracy. I've shot lots of 50 yd groups but can rarely beat a 1" group so it is a 2-3 MOA shooter. I have a 2x7 leupold rimfire scope on it.

I really like the rifle and it is 100% reliable, but it doesn't come close the consistent accuracy of my CZ American or my 541S. Both of those rifles are consistent 1 MOA shooters with dynapoint, several of the CCI brands etc. at 50 yds.

Can anyone fill me in on the details to re-work my barrel or point me to someone in Canada who does it? I'd send it south if I knew it was legal to do so, but somehow I doubt that it is an option.

Many thanks for any info.

I haven't had any work done by Randy myself but his work gets rave reviews around here......I not sure if he does 77/22's or not but he is a magic man with 10/22's, I'm told....hope that helps

Randy at CPC works wonders on 77/22.

Normally this is not a rifle we discuss here as this forum is dedicated to Semi Auto Sporters......but no harm no foul.

When you want to post your rifle the SuperStock Bolt Action forum would be the place for that
