Anyone have experience with their Top Focal's?

https://sspeyewear.com/collections/top-focal-tactical

Reviews look positive. Unknown is what magnification? Would like to try them to see what works best but the closest retailer is over 3 hours away.

Looks rather interesting, although I have heard of this being done to regular wear glasses. I just never wanted to take the plunge on normal glasses by doing the reverse drill and eating the money for it. Thanks for the info.

The thing I like is the bifocal's at the top. I use readers/cheaters for the up close things.

Thinking I'll probably wait and see if they have a booth at the NRA Convention. That way I see what power is best for my eyes. Can't really bring a gun into a Dollar store to try the best set of cheaters to see iron sights.

Talk to your eye doctor. I have a shooting prescription I got from mine a few years ago after cataract surgery. The SSP Top Focals are ideal.

I just bought a pair from Amazon after trying a pair of my friends. I was at a combat pistol match and I couldn't decide which glasses to wear...my readers to see the sights or my distance glasses to see the target. My friend had me try his and Euraka! They are the bees knees for shooting pistol. As for the power, I got that from my eye doctor at my last appointment. If you are unsure, all you have to do is go try on some reading glasses at walmart or the pharmacy and see which ones you can read best with and then order that power. I am 52 and use the 1.5 power.

It is wonderful to see the sights clearly again! :-)

Try them, you will like them...and they are not that expensive on Amazon.

Edit to add...the ones I ordered do seem to be the same, but they sure look the same except they do not have interchangeable lenses.

I’ve been using the SSP Top Focals for the last year and I swear by them. Most of my pistols have red dots but I still have several with iron sights and it’s nice not needing two pairs of glasses. I also like the ability to change the lenses to yellow or darkened. You won’t regret spending the money.
