Two brand new rifles!
Tikka t1x 17 HMR with Leupold 12x AO fine duplex reticle.
CZ 512 American in 22 WMR with Simmons 4-12x AO std duplex reticle.

Six types of ammo were evaluated with the Tikka to find the best performer.
17HMR: Hornady Vmax 17gr, CCI TNT 17gr, CCI Game Point 20gr, A17 17gr, Hornady XTP 20gr.
Winner: CCI TNT 17gr

Eight types of ammo were evaluated with the CZ.
22WMR: CCI MaxiMag HP 36 gr, Hornady Vmax 30 gr, CCI Game Point 40gr, CCI HP-V 30gr, WW Super X 40gr, Hornady CD 45gr, CCI Vmax 30gr, CCI MaxiMag FMJ 40gr.
Winner: Tie CCI Vmax 30gr & Hornady Vmax 30gr. (same ammo, different branding?)

Shot five groups x five shots each from bench rest at 50 yards then three groups of five at 100 yards.

Winning Groups per rifle: (center to center of two furthest holes)
Tikka 50yds: .27 to .33 100yds .46 to .53
CZ 50yds: .37 to .60 100yds .68 to .75

Attached are pictures of the winning groups.........

Comments:
1) Tikka trigger was perfect, very crisp, adjustable down to 2 lbs.
2) CZ trigger left a lot to be desired, tons of creep but 3 lbs from factory, non-adjustable.

Both guns are keepers but I strongly prefer the Tikka due to trigger and accuracy.

Brother SG; Nice shooting. I didn't realize the 512 was so accurate out of the box. Looking at your groups though it appears you may have measured them incorrectly if orange dots are all same size. You will help sell lots of 512,s with this post. Happy New year.

This questionable "stuff' was already posted on the Tikka forum.

The groups are not measured accurately. This is 100 yards no less. I should have said 0.4000 by eye.
