Ruger mk II rear sight removal/installation

Log in to see fewer ads
Hey guys!

I just bought a new adjustable rear sight for my mk II, to replace the original fixed sight.

Can anyone help me through the 'learning curve' on removal and installation of the sights? Are there any tricks to making it an easy procedure?

I really appreciate your help. Thank you.

Brian

Take a brass drift and just tap it out. It will be helpful to have it in a padded vise.

Did it come with a replacement front sight or is it made to work with the existing front blade?

With the barrel pointed away from you drift the rear sight to the Right to remove it.

I have never seen a locking screw on a Ruger fixed sight before.

Neither have I.... I guess I need to get stronger reading glasses. I could of sworn he was talking about removing an adjustable sight and replacing it with another brand.
