Need to find a picture of just how this new spring goes in for the indexing lever, didn't come with one so I'm lost.

I'll post pics in a bit.

Numrich Arms has schematics for Iver Johnson revolvers including the 66 revolver.

There are a couple of videos on you tube showing disassembly of IJ top break revolvers which might help. My guess, might be a little different model from your revolver but the lifter looks to work the same. Looks like the two open legs are towards the top and the bend is at the bottom. The way the spring rest against other parts provides the resistance for the spring to actuate.

Good luck, you might have to just do trial, and error.

Is it supposed to be bent for the lifter ? And the new spring isn't but needs to at the time of install ?
As it is I justdont see how it works.
Wish the old one wasn't missing.

Looking at the video and the lifter spring it appears to be V shaped with a rounded end like make a pin or rounded nub keeps it in place.

Here is a link to the lift spring from Numrich. The spring is very similar in appearance as the lift lever and spring in the video.

Yes that's the one I ordered. There is a hole in the back of the lever, but the way it's setup it won't contact the lifter unless bent.
I work on guns almost ever day, but if I ever get lost most of the time I can find a pic of just how it fits in, but I got this o'l 66 that just needed a new cylinder and spring, can't find a cylinder or a clear pic on how this spring fits and works, I stuck it this way that way till my head hurts. Lol
