Molasses makes great cookies, tho I haven't had any in a very long time and these days find them on my verboten list. Still, I keep some black strap molasses on-hand for buckwheat pancakes or adding to some recipes. Cane vinegar too.

To be accurate, I should have said earlier that it is Accurate #2520 powder that is affected by the recall. Both Western & Accurate are under one ownership these days, as I'm led to understand it.

Went out and broadcast granules around the house, Train Box, garage/little house/lawnmower garage and shelter. Now when it rains, will be soaked in. Kills ants and bugs. Also around A/C pads. Sprayed walls with Bayer home killer stuff [Home Defense has gotten worthless] where ants and bugs might slip in.

Sprayed a little GlasStar Plus on some edges. Came in with soaked shirt and pant legs. So:

Called SonIL and, with deliberation [very short version], we are NOT going to the farm to work this week. Heat index too high all the days. Next week is open for me so go then.

Under severe thunder storm watch. No clouds in the sky.

Off to the Train Box [and its A/C] to do the last two sets of blinds.

My Mom used to make great molasses cookies. Which didn't help my avoirdupois as a co-worker friend used to say.

I'm sure I'll be corrected, but I always thought sugar came from cane or beets whereas molasses was a product of sorghum.

To be accurate, I should have said earlier that it is Accurate #2520 powder that is affected by the recall. Both Western & Accurate are under one ownership these days, as I'm led to understand it.
First lying to us about the wine, now misleading us on the powder recall!
It's a slippery slope once you take that first step . . . . . . . . .

This video reminded of various past fun times I had using a winch.

Our Governor moo goo gai pin is at it again today with more indoor closures through out the State and including wineries.
XJ to the rescue,
Way too much "pucker" factor for my taste.

In 'murica that's true.

What's funny is that white sugar is what is left after you take out the stuff that makes molasses molasses.... then they add it back in and call it brown sugar. That process gives them more QC over the end product.

"Natural" brown sugar is ... as we might say in today's social climate... not sundered by segregation but is truly integrated with the brown stuff not separated from the white stuff. It's just the same sugar but several steps short of being completely refined.

Are you from the south? Didn't think so but I thought only suthners believed that to be true. The molasses from sorghum is different to true molasses.

Shhhh.... don't tell anyone but when cattle get to be nuisance by hanging out where they shouldn't be hanging someone has been known to hit them with a pebble flung from ye olde wrist rocket.

I've seen advertised motion-detector activated sprinkler systems designed as deer deterrents.

Emergency alert on smart phone, Gretchen wants me to wear a mask. I thought I had alerts blocked.

Thighs on grill were good. I may have over cooked them a bit but not too much.

Fang cleaning scheduled for tomorrow. I hope the dentists son isn't on duty. The last time he tried to upsell me a mouth guard for bruxism. If his dad hadn't noticed any problem in 35 years I doubt I have issues. They can pay for the office expansion some other way.

I'm hoping to see stars in the early am.

See, I was right!

In my defence (yes that was intentional), I have gone near neither brown sugar nor molasses (both true and false varieties) since Col. Sanders was a 1st Lieutenant. Honey for me all the way, sweetie.

I think the beige under-processed stuff is call raw sugar?

As for the sprinkler deer repellent, not sure of it's effectiveness.

Well, I'm not seeing any deer so it must be working.

We produce most of the nations sugar right here. My neighbor works at Domino's, so I'll query him about brown sugar.
No Al. Not that kind of Brown Sugar.

Sold guns today. Including revolvers, Glock clones, and a WASR-10.

102 in the shade today. Feel like temp of 117.
A bit warm, but I've seen hotter.

If he tells you it's artificial coloring just lie to us and tell us something else.

How much longer before that song gets "cancelled?" I think a great many people have not actually noted the lyrics. Is the White Album far behind?
