Recently Acquired Beretta 89 gold standard.

I recently acquired a beretta 89 gold standard in a trade I did along with a sig 1911-22 , Ruger 10/22 stainless, and a Ruger 10/22 charger laminate. I got all of them in great condition with boxes and magazines. The 89 came 6 factory mags 4 still in package. Not sure if I should keep it or try to trade up for a rifle. Any insight to rarity and value of this?

Its a used pistol so shoot it first, then decide. I have a 76. Not going to let it go any time soon. You may feel the same about that 89 after you get acquainted.

89

does it have the flimsy card board box that the plastic case goes in? If it does you could probably sell it for 1000 dollars with all the magazines you have for it and its in LNIB condition.

Had one, sold it in an auction recently ($640). Very accurate but just a massive piece for a 22LR gun...large clunky sights, just not any joy to firing it. I'll take a reasonably accurate plinker with manageable weight anyday over a boat anchor that drills small holes.

89ís Are Keepers

Have an 89, sold the 41. 89 way more accurate and better balance. IMHO.

A friend had a model 89, I found it to be a quality gun on par with a High Standard Citation & the S&W model 41.
BTW That's a very nice find.
