Recently had my suhl rebarreled. The old one is in very good shape but is a 1 in 19 twist . Do these type barrels have any value or should I use it for a tomatoes stake.

I have been tinkering with precision air rifles and a 19 twist would be about ideal . If I ever rebbl my Suhl I might try to put the old bbl on an air rifle. The only problem is that no air rifle uses a bbl anywhere close to the dia of the Suhl so I would have to turn the od. Then who knows how it will shoot ? Right now I'm thinking about a Redman 22 short bbl liner from Brownells that is in 20 twist. The stability would be marginal but probably ok for 25 yds.

I had no problem finding a new home for my old 1:19" twist barrel through the classifieds on Benchrest.com a couple years ago.

Has the Suhl made it back from being rebarreled?

Sorry James, just saw your post. Yes it has. Came in Monday night. Testing Friday, shoot Saturday. What could possibly go wrong with that much time to test ammo and get it tuned?
