Charging Handle

I was going to shoot the Rimfire Challenge and decided that it might make it easier to show clear. I got the Halo and loved it. Just makes things easier. Since I only shoot CCI Standard Velocity I was worried about it slowing the slide down. Nary a hitch. In fact a number of people in my squad commented that I went the whole match without a problem.

I also got a TacSol rear charger also which just snaps on. 1/3 the price but it's a side handle thing. The rear ring of the Halo is much better. Ordering another for my second Mk IV.

I also had the TacSol handle in the past and didn't care for it either. The Halo is a much better unit in my opinion.

I don’t have one and haven’t tried it. I’ve had ruger Marks for 40 years. Currently a Markii and a Markiv.
I have zero issues, no pinch, not hard to rack.
So, to me personally. I DONT need or desire one.

My wife's Buck Mark was hard for her to rack. Kinda hard for me too.
I never needed one, until I did.
Now I have one on her BM and my S&W 22. Helps with these. My MKII is so old, It is still fairly easy for me to rack, but the day may come when it isn't and I will put one on it also.

Not real pretty hanging off the back but darn functional!

IMHO, charging rings/knobs are kind of like Glocks. Work fine but ugly as sin.
Guess I just never saw the need for anything more than a good firm pinch to rack the slide.

Tandemkross caters towards speed shooting, and this is where the Halo falls into place. For the majority, its not really a big need/want. I'd still have one if I weren't running VQ bolts.

Call it the same as a Thumbsaver throttle extension on a 4wheeler. I don't have one, but I get it. I can't agree on bling for the sake of bling.

I ended up getting mine on a facebook forum package deal with the trigger i wanted. I actually really like it, is it super necessary maybe not... But it does make it super easy to get that bolt racked.

Thread starter....

I bought this for my sister, as she found it difficult to rack the bolt.
She LOVES it.

I can see an opportunity.

Greetings...

I can see someone inventing a plastic thingy that hangs off your wrist that does
much the same thing. Kind of like that bow string trigger gizmo I have seen all
the bow hunters using at the bow range.

I'd buy one for every Ruger .22 pistol I had if they were $20, but the $40 price tag
keeps me from ordering even a single one for some mysterious reason. I'm sure
I'd love it, it's just too high priced for me. Birthday and Xmas is coming up, perhaps
if I dropped a few hints I might get a few under the Tammuz tree this year, instead
of more cleaning kits...

Halo, YES!

I also thought the Halo was pricey, but after using it for 5 minutes, it was worth it! Highly recommended.

Tried my friends Halo on His MkIV 22\45 Lite. Nice accessory and does offer an easier pull over the bolt ears. However, I still have no issues racking back both my MkIV's and my MkII! Pinched my hand once on em...just Once!!
