I have an old Remington target rifle with a vintage K8 Weaver on it and would like to get the scope refurbished in keeping the rifle true to its period. Anyone know a source for getting such work done?

Scope

Google Weaver Scope Repair , I had mine done a few years ago . I just can not remember the person that did it for me . It was gone for a couple months . It looks and works as good as new on return. I have about 4 old steel tube Weavers and 4 old Redfields on a few older rifles . I did the same as you , I wanted them to have a era correct scope mounted .

Talyn beat me to it. They do a good job for a fair price if you are looking to buy. I don't know if they have a refurbishment service.

Fwiw, I used to have a Weaver K8, currently have a Lyman All American permacenter 10X (has AO) on one rifle and much prefer it. Think they are from the same era. For the price of a rebuild, and the time waiting, you may want to do some shopping.
