I have a 10-22 Takedown in a Backpacker stock and would like the same set up with a bolt. Anyone know of anything out there or at least a folding stock? I want it to fit in a backpack. I do have a single shot that fits really well but wanted more capacity than 1.

Hmm.., sounds intriguing. Maybe Ruger will get on that.

At this time I think your only option is a MDT LSS chassis with folding stock adapter. Even better SBR it to a 10" barrel. That would be cool.

I looked at the MTD the other day and it would work as far as a folder but close to $600 by the time you get all the parts. You would still be looking at 24" inches or more. As far as an SBR I would cut the barrel and weld a can on it like the SBX barrels for the 10-22 or weld a uni-baffle with a sleeve on it. If only Ruger had used the same barrels as the 10-22. Probably would have doubled their sales. How about a bolt action Charger?
