$33 for a 25 cent spring . Not in this lifetime. I used to do some Ebaying, that shipping charge alone would scare me off from buying one

Yo Dave springs are $15.00 and the shipping is $9.00 = $24.00. And yes, dropping $115.00 for a brick of Eley Edge was hard to do but a really big difference between ammo and a single spring.

I also don't like paying $30.00+ for a plastic 5 round magazine but.........................

the $9.00 shipping is what gets to me, that is just ridiculous. On Ebay you can pick up a 5 spring set, 4 trigger and a extra strong firing pin spring for 20 bucks and free shipping

It is what it is sir.
Yo Dave wants to charge $24 for a product + shipping thatís his right.

Now , before you go off half cocked you donít know the reason why he charges $9 shipping when other people/businesses ship for free.

Being a small business owner I can tell you he isnít doing it to make extra.

Yup,
Its just that the lighter the trigger return spring is, the less "bump fire" resistance there is when you adjust out all the creep.

just need to play with it a bit and find the sweet spot where I'm confident its safe and as creep free as possible.

The postage charge seems high especially when everyone else has free shipping .

When I have to package up a parcel then trundle it down to the Post Office
just to make a couple bucks , seem like a lot of labour.

Also Yodave isn't competing with the Amazons of the world in spring sales.

By the way I don't live too far from Yodaves operation.

If you have a local gunsmith nearby he probably has some springs in stock that would work. Way cheaper than Yo Daves...

Yes, it does take a little bit of experimentation. I took out almost all of the over-travel and left just a little bit of pre-travel so that I would feel a small movement before breaking. At 11 oz, it doesnít take much. I just put on the D.I.P. trigger shoe as well.
Itís all about personal preference.

I believe in getting my money’s worth as well. Just ‘cause I have money to spend, that doesn’t mean I spend it wastefully. I don’t pay for information I can get for free.......so, if people want to pay for information, a kit, and someone else’s legwork, that’s fine. Remember, value is in the mind of the purchaser. I won’t belittle someone that sees the 24 dollar value in a 25 cent spring. I just don’t see it.

I sure am glad I was able to "borrow" a box full of assorted springs years ago from my employer. Some way to big and some way to small but I have always been able to find the right size in my treasure box. As would be expected, the right one is always down in the bottom.

I have a bag full of the Ace Hardware 144 springs. They work well for the price. It’s a big improvement. I like the Yo Dave Kit better though. Between the three shims and three springs I can fine tune the creep and weight to where I want it. I have an extremely light trigger with no creep that passes the bump test for a bench gun. I’ll use the left over springs and shims in the kit for another rifle that will be used for hunting.
The improvement in the trigger pull that I got was worth $25 to me.
