Yep! Lots of judgment gets passed from things that happened decades ago. Bad news travels exponentially faster than good and tarnished reputations are hard to live down. It's basic human nature and the truth gets lost in the rhetoric. We see it everywhere and not just in the gun world. For example:
Uberti is judged by the crap they put out in the `60's. Even though their products have been continually improved over the last several decades. The new Python is judged by the old one and the fact that it shares virtually nothing in common with its predecessor seems to be meaningless to those doing the judging. There are still people who repeat the same old nonsense about Harley-Davidsons being unreliable and leaking oil, borne out of the AMF years. An era that ended forty years ago. Then you have my favorite group of all, those who have a legitimate problem that is not kept in perspective. One person with one problem with one gun is statistically insignificant but due to the generation of hurt feelings, the issue gets totally blown out of proportion. Which also plagues the TX22.
