It has to do better here or I am through for the year. Was 17 this morning which is crazy for November in NC. Hopefully we will feel the effect of global warming sometime next week and get back to the 50s.

I’m going to wait until I get a day with minimum 50 degrees .
I’ve found that Lapua ammo doesn’t like cold weather either unless you order some biathlon. Waste of money .
Some folks say if you keep your ammo warm it’ll work . But how do you keep your barrel warm between Magazine changes?
Most of my rifles shot a different poi when cold until a couple of shots warm the lube in the barrel up .
When it’s below 60 degrees I’ll switch to Tac22 or even Aguila SV . They don’t shoot as good as the SK when it’s warm , but when it’s cold , they’ll shoot with the SK and it doesn’t cost as much .
I’m not looking for 250’s when it’s cold , just trigger time . If I can shoot in the upper 230’s-low 240’s I’m happy .

Only 20 here in Salisbury at 6:30 a.m. Kind of makes me wonder what winter is going to be like.......

This early COLD snap has certainly diminished my shooting. And now with a new gun arriving tomorrow I am in hopes the predicted temp changes will manifest themselves in the next few days....

249-6X
cznut
CZ 452 American, Weaver GS 4.5-14 (set on 9X) Eley Black Box 25 yds
Caldwell Rest and rear bag
Temps in low 50's with 5-10 mph winds

Shot this target today even though I am a bit under the weather, CZ 452 American and Eley Black box match ammo, towards the end hands were getting cold, waited until I got home to score the target.

An excellent target nut. You and Andy may have been successful in scaring everyone else off for the month. I know I'm not up to those standards, especially in these temps.

CZNut, Nice target! I knew my reign wouldn't last long. I took advantage of the cold snap that hadn't made it to GA yet, but had everyone else inside. Oh well, now I have to practice more.

Thanks Sourmash......I got lucky on that target, was cold and windy, surprised myself actually.

Warmer days are coming, supposedly. Mid-50 by midweek and maybe a 60 on Thursday. If the wind isn't crazy I'll probably try to shoot 5 or 6 targets.
