Putting a can on a P22

I've acquired a P22 that came with a threaded barrel. It's a super thin barrel, that is obviously going to need some type of adapter. What might that have to be? Do I need a straight adapter (thread size?), or a nielson device? The can is a Dead Air MASK.

There are adapters for sale specifically for the P22. Just Google P22 threaded barrel adapter and you should get several hits for around 20$

So a simple thread adapter is all that's needed?

It appears that the adapter takes the place of the OEM barrel nut. Is that right?

Correct. Your pistol probably even came with the wrench to remove it. Remove the barrel nut, thread the adaptor on, tighten it up and you're good to go. Remove thread protector when installing the can, replace when can not in use.

Have fun!

This is the one I ordered for my Walther made colt .22. I believe they use the same adapter.
