Iíve bought more knives in the last month than Iíve bought in the last Two years. Iíve been making low bids on EBay never expecting to win. Well this month Iíve won four auctions. I got Two Kershaw Leeks (already have 7), a Benchmade fixed blade Adamas and I have a Benchmade 531 on the way. I got the Adamas , used but looks new, for $77. Iíll post a pic of them all when the 531 gets here.

Nice cattle knife Phil in Alabama . . .

. . . they credit Ulster as the manufacturer of that one, back in 1960's.

The perfect EDC

I have shoeboxes full of new Case and Boker knives, and a lot of used ones also. I am always seeking the PERFECT knife to carry in jeans pocket. Recently it was a Case large copperlock - flat, strong, with one husky clip blade. But today I got something new to me and it may be the new champion - a Case Tribal Lock in yellow Delrin. Shares a lot of qualities with the copperlock - flat, just over 4 inches long closed, one husky drop point blade, bank vault blade lockup. $46, a lot of quality for that money, IMO.

Smith & Wesson Border Guard, 4.4" drop point blade, liner lock, glass breaker & seat belt cutter and muy macho looking black finish (not that it matters) What sold was Big Five lists for $39.99, it was on sale for $12.99 and today was the last day. I wanted a straight blade, not the serrated because straight is easier for me to sharpen and the only straight blade they had left in the store was the floor model, so I got 10% off as well, negating the sales tax

Ontario RAT II in D2 steel. A nice liner-lock Taiwan-made folder for a reasonable price.

Hey, there he is. What's up sir !

Yes, this thread will be a 'high-miler' knives and guns go together like peas and carrots. If you are a fan of one of them, you probably have some models of the others close at hand.

An Opinel No.8 with the ring that locks the blade in both opened and closed position.
This is my second Opinel, the first I bought over 30 years ago.

Opinels are a great pocket knife . . .

Their carbon blades take a great edge and are thin to make it easy to cut / slice. . At to their ultralight weight and minimum bulk (which can be very easy to shape for even better pocket carry, but the ring must stay the way it is), you have a good using knife.
