Which one?

Im trying to decide between a 457 MTR and LPR.

I like the MPR because it has the match chamber and a walnut stock.

I like the LPR because it has the match chamber and an adjustable stock.

I dont like the LPR because its threaded, fluted, and a wood stock skinned with something called soft touch. And while i like a rail, 25 mMOA is not needed for my uses and is mor of a problem than a help. I also dont like the big ball on the bolt handle.

What do you think?

Do you mean MTR? I have one and it’s very good. I bought an EGW scope mount with 0 MOA.

Which one? The answer should be obvious when you are asking a bunch of CZ enablers. BOTH.

Sounds as though you have more "likes" about the MTR. A match chamber without a match grade barrel should be better than a sporter but maybe not great. Luck of the draw there. Most people report here that they shoot very well for a production rifle but so do a lot of the 452, 453, 455, 457 sporter models. The only guarante is that when you walk out of the store with it, it's yours....

I would buy the MTR and just put an at-one stock on it.

Yes J I could do that, but then again, i could just be happy with my 455s,

But please PM me if you have an empty MPR stock siting around, then i could buy a 457 cheaplieand use it and the action and a Lija barrel , cause really its the MPR stock that draws me in.

Notice the word cheaplie? I can buy the whole gun for 600. So separately they will sell me the stock and barrel for 580, plus shipping, if someone would give me a receiver then im in.

I would be glad to let the MTR stock go. Just think about if you want it. I do not know what you are calling the MPR but I do have the MTR stock just sitting in the box. After seeing the At-One stocks that Gearal posted when he bought his I had to buy one and go that route. Just let me know my friend.

Thanks , yes i mean the MTR , and It would cost me more to build one than buy one. Or about the same if a friend gave me a free stock.

That pic seems to be showing a thicker butt plate than my CZ 457 AT One... Is it?

briggleman,
I am not sure. I never paid attention to that. The first time I saw Gerald post a picture of his At-One I knew right then and there I had to have that stock. I have a 12.5" LOP since I am only 5' 5" tall, and the cheek riser would be perfect and it is for me the perfect stock. I really like it.
