bipod recommendation

Looking to upgrade my bipod to something more solid then my Harris.

Doing some F class competition.

I have a Winchester 52C with winchester accessory rail. 16 pound rifle and total rifle weight is a minor concern.

Thinking about this one:

https://www.opticsplanet.com/evoluti...ion-bipod.html

I have little experience with high quality bipods and looking for advice and recommendations please. Pros and cons, what to look for, what to avoid. Must haves and not so important.

Let me know your experience. Not too concerned about the price, do not want to be dissapointed.

Regards,
Crankster

These bipods are designed in Canada and made in the US. I had one but was less impressed with it than with the Tier One FTR bipod I also had. The height adjustment on the Evolution (the MPOD in Canada) is serviceable but not as nice to use as the wheel adjustment on others, like the Tier One, for example.

For a favorable review of the bipod you're looking at, see https://www.recoilweb.com/review-mys...pod-88529.html

Atlas, simple as that. They are the best, bar none. Not cheap either. But good and cheap don't go together.

I like the Sinclair F-class bipod. It can be bought with either elevation and no elevation models. The legs adjust up about 4", and the elevation knobs will give another 1" with out moving the legs. It's light and sturdy.

As an aside the width is fixed on the Sinclair, and in F-class you can use a board to set the bipod on. The width is limited to 6" wider than your bipod. Shooters are using a board with mouse pads glued on to dampen the bounce but still slide and track well. Rules also allow the board to be leveled with wedges.

I use mine on the bench with mouse pads under the ski's.

Accu-Tac bipods are crazy durable bipods. I have the FC-G2 and highly recommend it.

Nice Sinclair F class bipod that would suit your needs. Good price too.

I currently own and have shot off in many matches Harris, Sinclair (both Tactical and F-class), and the Tier One EVO F Class.
I've borrowed and shot off 2 different Altas bipods.
All are pretty good.

But the best of them all for Benchrest and F-Class has been my Seb Joy-Pod. Not suitable for NRL or Precision run and gun matches.
