Picked one of these up recently at a local store. He'd clearly had it in the case for a while, based on the dusty and yellowed plastic packaging As I recall, he had it priced for $40, so I can see why
I grabbed it from the clearance table for $15, and it seems to be well made, though I don't think it is on par with the SOG Flash and Trident folders I'm more familiar with.

The knife's blade is thin and the whole piece is pretty light, with an unusuall thumb stud that reminds me of the mag release on Ruger's old P-Series pistols for some reason. The blade itself has a 2004 copyright/date on it, which seems unique to me...

There are quite a few more Remington brand knives out there than I was aware of. This one says 'Made in USA' on it, but I have no idea who made it & was hoping maybe you folks here might be able to help me out

I e-mailed Bear and Sons, and apparently it was not produced by them. So that would leave what now?....Buck, Gerber, and Kershaw, unless I'm forgetting another big outfit, since I'm assuming a smaller company didn't make it...

Kind Regards,

~ SH ~

P.S. I contacted Remington about it a while back, but they couldn't give me any real information on the subject. On a related note, I owned a big Remington fixed blade for a number of years that I got as a present. A stout piece on the order of Buck's Endeavor, it was Chinese (possibly a Camillus?) but well made and fairly sharp. I rarely used it, and ultimately gave it away...kind of wish I'd kept it now.
