Ordered My First Suppressor

After finally getting my Trust finalized, I place my first order for a suppressor just a few minutes ago.

I am starting with the Dead Air Armament Mask 22. I KNOW I'll be getting more than one and had it narrowed down to 4 models. I was going to purchase 2 models to begin with but then I decided to just go ahead and start with the Mask 22 and then decide if I want something different or not for my next purchases.

I'll be using my suppressors on 22/45 Lites, 10/22s and RAR Predator bolt rifles in .22LR. All have Ruger factory threaded barrels.

Just for info, the others I'm still researching are listed below but I guess those are just the tip of the iceberg:

Liberty Regulator
Tactical Solutions Axiom
AAC Element 2
Spectre II

I guess I'll spend my "waiting time" getting together the necessary items for cleaning and pre-treating.....maybe some Frog Lube/Silicone/Anti Seize (will re-read the thread that has the article on pre-treating), gloves, etc.

Any suggestions on maintenance/cleaning are always welcome.

For my 2nd one, was thinking about a smaller/lighter one that is in stock....the AAC Element 2. You happen to have that one?

Sorry, Never handled an Element.

If youre looking for lighter ..

Thunder Beast Arms 22S-1 SUPPRESSOR.
All Titanium..
Not cheap but pretty sexy...lol

Most any 22 can will sound pretty good.
You pay more for lighter and/or easier to clean.. IMO

I have some cheapies from HTA that I actually really like.
They cost less than the stamp.

The HTA Guardian Micro is small and light and cheap.

If I were you I would do a Spectre II or another Mask...

I saw the mask-22 in a local shop today. Really has me thinking of filing for one. It's a pretty reputable shop and they said they would set up my trust for free.

Well I can't wait to get my Mask 22 and yesterday I went ahead and purchased the AAC Element 2. Was going to go with the Tactical Solutions Axiom but decided to get the shorter/light suppressor as my second one. I'll probably end up getting a few more anyway so the Axiom is still on my list.

I went the Trust route because I was told that the Dallas Chief Law Enforcement Officer won't sign off. I didn't get a free one though so if it's a good Trust then that's a nice incentive.

Just a follow-up: received approval for my Dead Air Mask 22 and picked it up Saturday 2/13/16.......the application was mailed to ATF on 9/14/15. Approval for my second can (AAC Element 2) was mailed on 10/12/15 so I'm hoping approval for it will come in next month.

When I picked the Mask 22 up yesterday, the guy told me that new purchases would probably take 6-9 months because the ATF was flooded with submissions....wowzee!!!

I have some Fireclean, Eezox, and Weaponshield to test out. Going to start with Fireclean on my Mask 22 and see how it does. I'll test Weaponshield on the Element 2.

Question: are there any special procedures or "best ways" to treat the suppressor with Fireclean?

Thanks

22-s1

I would avoid the TB-22S1, its not super-light and it is sealed. Element is slightly heavier and is serviceable.

We've got the Element 2 and love it! Use it on all our 10/22s, Ruger American 22lr, Ruger American 17hmr, and Walther P22. Super happy with it!
