. . . nice work sir.

Found and just ordered a Buck sheath knife I have never heard of - the Gen 5. This was made a little less than a decade ago, some in some special steels. Mine was a special order for Cabelas, has rosewood grips with diamond panels at the pins, a single brass guard and a 3 1/4" 420HC fixed blade. To me, appears very striking - I really wanted it from the get-go.

Internet search BUCK GEN 5 and you will likely find a copy of it.

Another Buck I hadn't heard of . . .

. . . the Buck V52 Selector lock back. Buck offered these in the early 1990's, a Bucklite Valox grip with replaceable blades that switched out. Gutting blades, clips - drop points - serrated - saw blades, I think 10 different blades to be installed in handle (one at a time of course ).

Comes with the 42801 clip blade and 42835 saw blade. Sure would like to find a drop point non serrated and possibly the skinning blade, I'll pass on the gutting blade though, too short in my opinion.

9 Bucks in my collection.

2 #119s
1 #470
5 #110s
1 #303 Cadet
One of the #119s, one of the #110s and the #303 were gifts from my late father. I hold them pretty dear to me. The rest have been acquired here and there. Gifts, flea markets or Wally.
I have some other brands of knives. But prefer a Buck. I carry a #110 everyday on my belt. Would feel naked with out it. My dear wife bought me a #110 lite knife for Christmas this year. I really like it. And would recommend it. JA

A Buck 117 Trophy Set was found and purchased. A tandem dual flapped sheath, with Skinner 103 and 116 Caper fixed knives in pouches. A good set of meat processing tools.

Edit - post #74 has a Buck V52 Selector, a Valox handled 110ish clip with removeable blades. I hadn't noticed it until now - nice !

Found another 107 Scout for sale and couldn't resist. It should arrive here shortly - I've had some luck 'knife mining' at AAPK and is where I found it.

Man, I've thought about it, but uploading them to a new hosting service that could do the same thing Photobucket did to me and others - yeah - no. Had a lot of knife photos which are now apparently 'Proudly Hosted on Photobucket'. More like 'Proudly Hosed on Photobucket' if you ask me.

Many different posts on many different threads, they would be to be each searched and replaced with new link. I am at least glad that they can be seen and appreciated by others, as I do their photos.

Knives are kewl.

Thanks for the interest flyingsquirrel.

I wasn't seeking the 2nd out, it just fell into my lap. 107s are out there, but you don't find people who want to sell them. I think Buck would sell a few if they were re-introduced.

One is plenty.

Hello I'm new to the site and would like to put Buck inverted 2 liner set out for display and sale I don't know if I can sell it here. But either way I'm showing it off. I am pretty proud of it most of my knives are like new condition I have them gone over by Lee Roy Reimer, a top Custom Knife maker who started for Buck.

When a buck knife is an inverted 2 liner it means it was manufactured from 1967 to 1972.

Found a Mini-Mentor 475 for sale and decided it needed a new home . . .

. . . it was found at the AAPK (allaboutpocketknives). It is a NIB 100th Anniverssary model, dating it to 2002.

I just received a purchased Buck 680 CSAR-T Liason knife from RFC member PT7 at the RFC For Sale-Trade forum below. Here is a link from Wal-Mart on what it looks like.

I have its larger lock back CSAR-T brother, here is a link to that short RFC thread.

Found a couple of Buck knives in my collection. Neither has a date stamp that I can determine, know I have had them both for a while. I must have washed the folder because it shrunk, says model 705 has all the papers including a letter from the president.

Nice knives 6PtStar, I think that sheath knife is an older Buck 102 Woodsman, if that is an original flapped pouch sheath for it. I actually prefer those designs over the present ones, though I haven't had issues with the newer.

I found a vintage 650-BB Nighthawk, a stout outdoor oriented sheath knife a little time ago. Some of these had a blackened blade finish - mine is brushed stainless, plain edge.
