How many of you participate in "precision rifle" matches such as the type sponsored by the National Rifle League?

I don't participate in any leagues, but I'd like to. Can't seem to find any near me though.

Do I need to be the change I want to see in the world?

I don't participate in any of these matches presently but am definitely interested in them. I've always enjoyed shooting my rimfire rifles at longer yardage and now that I've got a better tactical type scope, I'm ready to try a little competition.

After shooting silhouette for several years this seems easy, except for the way they are sitting. I would need a winch to get me up.

Nice thread Sophia.
I have shot in one NRL22 match. I felt like I had a poor performance until the results were tallied and somehow I had won. The coarse was interesting with several variable positions and targets. I really went to observe the setup as compared to the bench rest matches that I host every week. My thoughts were possibly to host the NRL22 matches in my area. I did enjoy the match, but, looking at it from the point of view of hosting a match I found the coarse setup too time consuming and the number of personnel involved to run the match is not feasible in my area.
Of the 36% that participate in other precision rifle matches it would be interesting to see what type of matches other members are involved in. Is anyone shooting NRA, CMP, ARA, Postal, local club or fun matches, silhouette, long-range, ect.

Local smallbore prone match is a lot of fun. I haven't done it in a few years, but this spring I think I'm going to return with my BRNO-4 and see what I can do.

Monthly Postal Match

I participate and help coordinate a monthly postal match for both iron sight and scoped rifle shooters. This is a good competition, but allows me to participate on my terms.

If anyone is interested, please see the match invitation below, and send an email to the match email address. We'll be glad to have you join in on the competition and fun!

Good shooting,

Rimfireshooter
