I don't think this is Match Pistol.

Interesting the Pistol looks to be wider and taller yet supposed to weigh the same.weird

Is that before loading into a chamber?

Is that before loading into a magazine as well?

How well does it shoot since you have some?

Saturday Morning at the San Angelo Gun Club we had an ABRA Fun Shoot. The weather starting out was 31 degrees 60% humid and NNW winds gusting 9 mph. I had 5 lots #1219-02321, 02322, 02323, 02324 and 02325. I shot targets T1 and T2 with first 2 lots. I shot a 160 and a 158. On 3 different occasions I had the 2nd round of a 10 round mag not rotate up into position to chamber, and had to use my chamber flag to push down on the rounds to get them to pop up. I also shot 2 lots of Match Pistol and shot a 184 and a 169 (I shoot ABRA Factory).
My take-away on this is that the SABR doesn't care for the cold. I saved my last 3 lots for a warmer day to try again.

An unlimited shooter who was out there with me after the match (and when temps were in the upper 50's-60's) shot a few of all 5 of these lots and was impressed enough with the 02323 lot that he was going to call Killough's today and inquire about getting some more to test. It is my plan to go out to Killough's (55 min from my house) and try a few more lots to see if I can find one (or two) magic bullets for the 2020 season.

Wouldn't a "1219" first half designation of the lot number indicate tennex pistol loaded in 2019?......

Look carefully at those numbers. The pistol number is 1219/02234. The SABR numbers are all 1219-023xx. That may or may not make a difference. I would hope that a company with the reputation Eley has would not be trying to snooker a specific group (semi-auto BR shooters) with rebranding and repricing an ammo already in existence. JMO.

From about 2012 - 2016 there was no Eley Blue Box Team , this ammo was put in White Practice 100 and marketed as such ! Not the best decision to impliment ! Zanders bought the Majority of this product over this 5 year year period and tried to market it to no avail! Eley came back with Blue Box Team and still sells it to this day

Just a thought to add...we already know it's not Eley's best.

Why? Easy, it doesn't have Tenex on the label.

Only time will tell just how not best it is.

Do not mean to be argumentative, but the "Outlaw" states that it is a 42gr projectile right on the front of the package. See the small print on the lower front portion of the box. I believe this was noted in a previous post. Also of note, SK is coming out with a semi-auto specific round Spring 2020. It will be interesting to see how the Eley and SK offerings compare. I am looking forward to trying both in my factory and unlimited ABRA rifles.

What's the lot number of your 42 gr ammo? I want to try some.

my 2 "precision" lot numbers both say 40 gr on the box in two different places. lot 1219-02325 and 1219-02326

my "outlaw" lot 3L 19-30269 is also marked in two places 40 gr

I have been unable to purchase the "outlaw" yet. My comments are based on the pictures of the two new semi auto offerings from Eley which are posted on the Killough Shooting Sports website. The "SemiAuto Precision" shows 40gr on the packaging. The "Semi Auto Outlaw" shows 42gr on the packaging. I can only go by that because I haven't found anywhere (in my usual list of vendors) to purchase the "Outlaw" rounds. YMMV

sorry I thought you knew what you were talking about. The box of outlaw I am holding in my hand says "round nose-40gr-50rds on both the front and end labels.
