Anybody have a recommendation for stopping this? I've Loctited the retaining screw and retightened it but the sight keeps shifting right .

Maybe some shim stock under it to tighten up it's fit to the dovetail. JB Weld or Devcon would hold it in place but I don't know if you'd ever be able to remove it if you had too, probably not. You might could remove it, add a thin layer of something like Devcon to the areas that need tightened up then file and fit as needed but before I did that I think I'd just buy a new sight.

It's really snug in the dovetail as is. Yesterday I peened one end of the sight and reinstalled it. It seems to drift from the vibration of shooting. I'll try it again. Thanks.

Locktite makes a sleeve retainer that might work for you.

Just locktite the sight in the dovetail, not just the screw.
A drop or two of blue loctite , in the dovetail, re-install the sight. and lock down.

Just mark the correct position before you remove and reinstall.

Blue or "removeable" loctite - so you can remove or drift the sight if you need to in future.

This should work. I have dimpled a few dovetails in the past. You just need a couple of dimples. Donít go overboard.

I routinely us .0025 - .004 shim stock in dovetails that are too big for the sights.

Cut it smaller than the sight base so it won't be visible on either side.
