He answered a question I had about tuning recently. While I am new and may not agree with everything he says, I do respect his right to his opinion. Anyone that disagrees with Earnest should probably do the same.
Last I knew Marty was in the process of moving from Pa. to Fla. I am sure we will be able to continue to benefit from his ideas. His info has been a help to me for sure. John

Thanks John. Moving it all is a big deal and I hope when Earnie settles in he returns in his usual form, flair for the unthought, re-do of the done, elements once though gospel, that get some undies in turbo tied knots with his ideas. Free thinking as it were.

ernies ideas sound great to the UN-informed. If you think ernies ideas are great, thats a perfect sign- go back you have fallen off the rails somewhere....
congratulations joe, job accomplished. ernie's gone. now we can listen to
you (who hasn't ever as far as i know) shot in a rimfire benchrest match
tell the guys how to do it. i'll be hanging on every word. yep sure i will.
jGEE although as I said I am new to this, and you have helped me in the past. To say that anyone whom believes some or all of what Earnest says is uninformed is covering a very broad spectrum . Not trying to start a pi----g contest. I know I am uninformed but Tom Ç. and many others I am sure are not.

This year Triple Crown tied 2nd after 7 targets ended 12th. St. Louis PSL finished 12th after an 1800 last target. Current ARA Outdoor A-Line Unlimited national ranking 3rd.
Point is you can learn from anybody and everybody. Never blow anyone off without serious thought and/or trial. If you aren't trying new things you aren't going forward because even the failures teach you something.

I for one enjoy reading what he posts. If you look past the way he writes sometimes there are actually kernels of stuff that I did not know that pass my "common sense" test and can be looked up.
Some of the stuff is very esoteric though.
I also like the responses to his posts many of which are emotional and often don't even pertain to the thread.

Here is some proof of what marty says can be done with multiple speed tuning. since trying what he said to do, I use that method to validate a tune on a rifle if it can't shoot different lots into the same group I keep tuning till it does has worked for me that last few years.
Good to hear. He said something several months ago about getting back into iron sight shooting, so much less controversial stuff to think and chat about.
