The only name I've seen there is Jazzsax8, and he shoots it plenty.

And I'm not just promoting.... I'm thinking of getting a red dot in the future, but mostly with the hopes of improving scores for scored targets... sooo......
What target is used? I'd like to give this a try.

We use the A23 at 10, 15, or 25 yards. Shoot 25 and score them.

Full rules here..... https://www.rimfirecentral.com/forum...topics/1215411

We have a lot of different shooter levels and hardware. That target is fairly generous at close distances, but is smaller than a bullseye target at 25 yards.

It's all just for fun and bragging rights. Come join us and show off some of your hardware and shooting skills.

And it works well enough to hold the number two spot in the 15 yard match. Considering who holds the number one spot that's no small feat

Yes, the red dot gives me my best chance of hitting something every now and then.

I think the Red dot (Reflex type) you choose depends on what application you want it for.

For example, I have a Burris Fastfire 3 (4 MOA dot) on my Ruger .357Mag Bisley Blackhawk that I use for deer hunting. It's a smaller sight, doesn't weight much, and I am excited to go out deer hunting in about a month. The red dot is easy to spot against the tan/brown deer. The weather in northeast Ohio during gun season (starts week after Thanksgiving) is usually overcast, not real bright sunlight.

On my 22/45 Mark iv, I use a C-More Systems red dot. The C-More red dot is by far the most intense red dot I have personally used or tried myself. Even in super bight sunlight/glare, I have yet to ever use it at it's most intense level. On most sunny days, I usually run at mid levels and it is very easy to see.

The C-More system is quite larger than most other red dot sights, it 4.5 " long, so it might not work on smaller pistols or revolvers. I picked the C-More for the Mark iv due to the fact, you can interchange different size MOA modules. (I have a 6" barrel on the Mark iv).
I use a 4 MOA red dot for steel target and assorted fast paced shooting.
I use a 2 MOA red dot for precision or long range shooting.

I have the Venom with 3MOA for steel plates on my Ruger MKIII and the Leupold Delta Point Pro with 1MOA for precision shooting on my Volquartsen Scorpion.
No complaints on either.
The Delta Point dot is extremely crisp and clear.

C-More with a 6 MOA dot. The larger window makes it much easier and quicker to pick up the dot.
