JFK had a M1 Garand he got from the DCM when he was a senator.

What grade is it? Would it be possible to see the opposite side of the receiver, too?

I assume it's in .22 LR and not .22 Short chambering?

Thanks for the photo!

Brittman
No grade 6 in 22 short.

Close -- Tennessee Williams shooting. Gore Vidal is wearing the shades, standing next to JFK.

Thatís the SA22 I wanted but found a new Grade 1 SA22 for sub $400 so too good a deal to pass up. I would totally take that Grade IV in the woods and let the honest wear show. You only live once and let the grandkids tell the story of how that rifle walked the woods in grandadís hands for many miles. Thatís what I am doing with my grade 1 but the grade IV would let my ancestors know I had class.

It might be a dangerous thing to say but when you show people that beautiful Browning SA you can say "Now THIS is not a Ruger 10/22".

Whether Gore or Tennessee, they sure don't look like they're at all familiar with shooting a rifle. Awkward!

I'm surprised they only have 1 gun between them. Maybe that's all they could afford.

Yeah -- I can't find it now, but I read somewhere that Williams claims that he outshot both of them, even using his "bad eye," whatever that means. Cross-eye dominance?

A suggestion, for a good quality scope that matches the finish of the rifle a Clearidge 3-9x in gloss, that's what's on my Belgium SA
