The 457 shoots so good

I bought a Tikka T3 hunter in 7mm-08 and I needed a scope so I took the scope off my 457 and put it on my tikka... So I was looking in my gun safe and I seen the Ruger 10/22 target sitting in the back and I seen the Clear Ridge scope on it and thought Ill prob never take that thing in the squirrel woods so I snatched that scope off and mounted it on my 457... 20 shot later the 457 is dialed in at 15,25,35,and 50... 25 yards effortlessly putting them in the same hole... 50 yards all 5 in a 1 orange circle... it was kind of a quick sight in I know it will shoot tighter at 50 but for now I know its ready for sept!!! That gun just feels right and I love the longer barrel... seriously thinking about the 22 WMR

BW sir don't go there you will never go back...once you feel the power of a magnum either 17hmr or 22mag for hunting your 22lr is going to do a little more sitting in the back.

Nice.!!
Which 457 is it that shoots so good??
Thinking about getting back into squirrel hunting. Thats what I lived for, one time.

All the junk talked about the "New 457" line of CZ 22 rimfires. I haven't had a problem like most.
They like good ammo. And a little tweaking,... that and if you pay attention on RimFireCentral..... Bug holes.

Congratulations.

While my 22WMRs haven't kept me from shooting my 22LR, I must admit to enjoying my CZ 452 Full Stock in 22WMR.

TB, you don't even need to shoot that FS to enjoy it! Just take it out of the safe (with some white gloves on) and out into the sunlight to admire it's beauty!

BWstickman sir how about a picture of your rifle so we may all enjoy. I have some pictures of the 457 American in my screen savers to look at...it's a very nice rifle in my book. I would love to see how you set up your rifle.

That's a really good looking 22 mag, TB. Don't remember seeing it before.

Purchased the target model 457 a few months back and received a call from the dealer the following day informing me that another buyer claimed that he had difficulty closing the bolt due to a tight chamber. I told him I would shoot mine the next day and report back. Yes, the round was a little snug in the chamber but no problems otherwise and the gun shoots five shot groups around 5/8” using RWS ammo. I believe CZ claim a match chamber for this model which would explain it. I really enjoy shooting this rifle and certainly don’t regret the purchase.!!
