Wife's Build Complete,, Follow Up Range Reports

Got to run out today and send some rounds into paper.

It was cold and the wind was blowing from every direction it seemed with some pretty nice gust's but she held in there like a trooper. Target was placed at 50 yards, used cci standard velocity. Have some eley and sk on the way for the next trip out.

Build details,,

Started off as cabelas cheapest 10/22. Wanted the green mountain 18" .920 barrel and actually back ordered from gm, but 2 months later they ran into machining problems or some crap so got a refund and picked up the 20" .920 barrel elsewhere.

She really liked the hogue overmolded for fit and feel, so that she got. Topped off with nikon rimfire prostaff 4-12 bdc.

Decided to get a kidd bolt instead of sending the eom out for fine tuning, and ordered the bx trigger. Don't know why everyone says the bx is good,, reduced trigger pull is good but it stops there,, sorry it's plastic junk.
My jard trigger wouldn't lock the bolt back with the kidd in her gun so ordered a kidd single stage at 2.5 lbs,, now that is a sweet trigger.

Nice gun. Should be a winner. Nothing wrong with a Hogue stock.

Some more gooder stuff showed up, hopefully we can get out soon and see what is what. One box of each for both of us as we have basically identical builds.

BX trigger is better than a factory one, and a heck of a lot less expensive than KIdd and others, so for many shooters it's the best they'll get. I have on BX and two stock ones with the MCARBO spring kits, and I can't tell much difference.

Yes, 50 yards. Nothing to write home about, but a couple nice groups did happen. Using an adjustable front rest and rear bag.

All this from a woman who never shot anything till I got her into hunting a few years ago. Never questions spending money on more gun/hunting gear.

Also need to make some sort of couple inch booster seat for her to use at the range table as the table is to high for her.

Take her to a music store and try out a few drummer's thrones. They are sturdy, more comfortable than most benches and adjustable. From the sound of it, you should treat her like royalty anyway!

Got out for a wee bit this afternoon as winds started to die down.

Eley target was the main course tonight.

50 Yard target per my range finder.

Sighters was right to left to avoid shooing my clip, then targets where 5 round groups in order.
