Leupold Freedom rimfire 2-7x33 ring height?

Log in to see fewer ads
Just bought a 10/22 takedown target and have decided on going with the Leupold rimfire 2-7x33 scope. Can I mount it using the factory weaver base or do I need a Picatinny base?
If anyone has one what ring height did you use? Low or medium?
Thinking of going with Leupold rifleman rings.
Thanks in advance for any recommendations.
Joey

The low leupold rifleman rings should work just fine. The std ruger rail has fewer slots, but you should be fine.

I like the vertical version https://www.amazon.com/Leupold-Rifle...s%2C179&sr=8-1

And this rail is low enough for you to use your iron sights https://www.amazon.com/UTG-Tactical-...s%2C189&sr=8-2

These rings, mismarked as not high! Are all steel and qd https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1 but maybe a little high for you

But qd works well with a td

I use medium Burris signature rings with Leupold 2-7 scopes on 2 of my 10/22's. The signature rings don't mar the scopes finish. I also have the Leupold rings in medium with a Nikon rimfire scope on another 10/22. I prefer the scope to be mounted a little higher then most though.

The low rings totally worked. Thanks for the advice.
