Please see post 70. I am still willing if anymore than 2 or 3 shooters care.

Chuck,
What you are proposing sounds fine to me. I shoot so infrequently anymore in the on-line matches that I really don't have a say in what goes on. I see the interest waning in a lot of the shooting sports. Our local range has a Steel Challenge for .22's once a month about 9 months a year (we don't shoot in the summer months as it is to hot). Today was the day for this months shoot, and no one showed up...........

I am still interested in keeping this going...
I am still interested in keeping this going. I do not want to take on work. I already moderate the offhand airgun matches, and that participation has declined. So instead of posting once a month, I post a summary when we have sufficient numbers of individual scores posted.
I believe the original rule here was no more than 4 postings per month per rifle. That was fine when I had many rifles I could shoot in this discipline. Now I have only one real rifle for the sport per location. I suggest a rule change to allow you to shoot as much as you want with whatever you want to use and post away. I have also been shooting a CZ Lux and Ultra-Lux which is a struggle with the factory sights. There is value in getting out and shooting whatever it is you own. If I am not mistaken, I think I even shot this match once with a Marlin 39A carbine, but maybe I did not post the score. It twernt too purdy. And I will also add that I have shot the match with a good scoped rifle and in doing so, I got to feel pretty good about my old eyes and iron sights as the scores and groups were not all that different. I never posted that as it is an iron sight match. Old discussion way back, optical things that correct vision are ok as long as there is no magnification.
I also suggest that posting summaries need not be monthly, but periodically when a sufficient number of individual scores have been posted to justify the work. But perhaps at least once every quarter.
Lastly, I picked up a Suhl Model 150 today and it looks like it was made in 1980 and seems in good mechanical condition. I hope to shoot it this Monday. Oops, that makes two good guns for this sport I own here in Florida. Will post and report later. David

I’m still interested myself otherwise wouldn’t be driving sixty miles round trip to the range. Will have to see if any of the indoor smallbore guys are interested in joining in. Three position just isn’t my thing with two bad shoulders.
Been in the basement shop all afternoon scrubbing and lapping bores of old rifles. To see if grouping improves. Little buildup in some of these rifles 50-82 years old!

I plan to start shooting at 50 yards again. It's been a while but I enjoyed this challenge more than anything I've tried here.
I you would post a summary of scores every month, Chuck, that may stimulate bit more interest. It would be very much appreciated.
Hank
