Weight Difference Between Tippmann original barrel and fluted barrel

I just picked up a Tippmann M4-22 Elite T. Love this rifle. I've got almost 500 rounds through the rifle so far with no issues. I will be using this for Steel Challenge and would like to make the rifle a little lighter to improve my transition times. I was wondering what the weight difference is between the Tippmann original barrel and fluted barrel? Also does Tippmann sell the Pro handguard separately?

Hi simmer,

The Fluted Barrel is 8.32 ounces lighter than the stock barrel. The PRO handguard can be ordered as a replacement part through our customer service dept.

I have both the Elite (normal barrel) and a Pro with a fluted barrel and the felt weight difference is significant. Also the balance of the rifle moves to the rear a bit. I am also using a KE Arms SLT-2 in my pro and the trigger runs when I do my part.
